John Paul Piccolo, D.M.D

 

Dr. Piccolo graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree in 1978. He continued his education at PITT in the School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 1982. Following graduation, Dr. Piccolo pursued and achieved a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. To become a fellow, he had to complete 500 hours of continuing education and a rigorous fellowship examination.

Dr. Piccolo has been in practice for 36 years in his hometown of Sewickley. He is a graduate of Quaker Valley High School and still resides in the town in which he was born and raised. He is a proud and active member of his community.

Dr. Piccolo believes in comprehensive dental care and treats his patients with a gentle hand. He takes pride in creating beautiful smiles with aesthetic dentistry. He has a great eye for cosmetic bonding, veneers, and the use of crowns, bridges and latest in implant therapy to establish aesthetic replacement of damaged or missing teeth.

Dr. Piccolo is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a member of the Pittsburgh Academy of Dentistry, which is the oldest study club in America, where he attends monthly seminars in continuing education and is a former President. He has also been named to Pittsburgh Magazine's top dentist list for the past several years.

 

In his spare time, Dr. Piccolo enjoys traveling with his wife and 3 children, cooking, gardening and a friendly game of hoops.
